All Notre Dame students now have access to a free Microsoft 365 subscription, which means you can download and install the full Microsoft productivity suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote) on up to five PCs and/or Macs.
If you're interested in using this software on your own computer, here's how to get it:
1) Browse to the Microsoft 365 portal at office.com.
2) Enter your Microsoft credentials:
Email address:
Your student email address to sign in to Microsoft 365 is similar to your school Gmail account, except you'll need to change it from @myndrs.com to @ndrs.org.
For example, if your school Gmail account is: astudent25@myndrs.com, you'll need to type astudent25@ndrs.org.
Password:
This is the same as the Microsoft password you use to sign in to the PCs in the computer labs. You may have set it to the same as your Gmail password (so try that first if you're not sure).
If you're still unsure what your password is or have any technical questions, feel free to email us at support@ndrs.org.
3) Download and run the Microsoft 365 installer:
4) Activation:
After installing Microsoft 365 and opening one of the applications (e.g. Word or Excel), you'll be prompted to activate the software. Simply enter the same email and password you used in step 2.
