Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year!

And an especially warm welcome to all our incoming Grade 8s and new families.

I am honoured to be serving in the role of Chairperson of the Notre Dame Regional Education Committee (REC). As an alumnus and parent, the role has afforded me the opportunity to reconnect with old friends and meet new people.

 

The Education Committee has a broad portfolio and plays a vital role in the operations of the school. Members are called upon to serve in a leadership capacity, to ensure the safe and orderly operation of the school with respect to hiring, finances, maintenance, parent participation, and fundraising.

 

Additionally, we work with the principal and pastors to deliver policy which fosters collaboration, Christian community, and promotes Catholic education. 

As members of an Education Committee, we share in the mission of Catholic education “to proclaim and build the kingdom of God.”
